Vulvar Disorder
A vulvar disorder may mimic symptoms of lichen sclerosus or other HPV viruses.
There are many types of benign tumors that occur on the vulva. Some types of cysts include mucous cyst, Bartholin’s cyst, Skene’s duct cyst, Epidermal inclusion cyst, Furunculosis. Tumors of the solid variety include Lintigo, nevus, Seborrheic keratosis, Papillomotosis, and Dermatofibroma. These are only a few.
A vulvar disorder may mimic symptoms of lichen sclerosus or other HPV viruses.

Some signs and symptoms that cause concern and visits to the doctors office are puritus, pain, burning, irritation, and a mass or growth. Many growths on the vulva are benign and are treated with simple excision or observation. Some require a biopsy. A vulvar disorder may mimic symptoms of lichen sclerosus or other HPV viruses.
